Welcome to CerrieBurnellIsAwesome.co.uk
The Wholly Unofficial Tribute Site For The Fantastic Cerrie!

26th February 2009

Wow - we are overwhelmed by the volume and, best of all, the quality of the comments being left in support of CBeebies presenter Cerrie Burnell.

Many many thanks to all of you who have posted, or signed up for the newsletter!

We've also just added a small selection of DVDs and books that you might find helpful and / or entertaining relating to the issues raised here.

Stay Well

INTRODUCTION

We find it shocking that some 'people' would find it 'offensive' that Cerrie Burnell presents on childrens television - namely CBeebies.

We've setup a quick guestbook (moderated!) so you can register your support for Cerrie...see below:

All entries will be moderated before publication - so there may be a delay before your message shows (especially at night, while we get our much needed sleep!) Thanks!

I can't believe people are still causing a fuss over Cerrie. Yes she only has one hand, so what. It doesn't seem to bother Cerrie in the slightest, she seems to just get on with her life, so why should it bother others. Maybe if they had to live with such a disability they would see things very differently!!

My 3 year old son loves watching Cbeebies and has never made a comment about Cerrie. Maybe he hasn't noticed or maybe it doesn't bother him I don't know, but if he does ever mention it then I'll explain that there is nothing to be scared or frightened about.

It worries me as he was born with a deformed chest wall. I hope and pray that he doesn't have to suffer the appalling comments Cerrie has had to endure. I hope he can get on with his life as Cerrie has and if he's half as talented, successful and warm natured as Cerrie, I'll be a very happy and proud mummy - Lisa from Bolton xx
